This April, in honor of Financial Literacy Month, NBT Bank proudly collaborated with Junior Achievement of New York and other local companies to bring essential financial literacy skills to students across the Capital Region. A huge shoutout to the dedicated volunteers who made an impact at Abram Lansing, Van Schaick, and Van Corlaer Elementary Schools, educating 618 students on the importance of financial education. 📚💡 Through this effort, we are not just teaching money management; we are investing in our community's future. Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the EY-Daughter in Technology Workshop. I was there as a chaperone for students from Cathedral High School alongside our JA ambassador, Lexi Rodriguez. The event was incredibly inspiring, filled with amazing women who motivated me. I’m deeply grateful to Junior Achievement of New York for giving me this chance to represent us. I also want to thank Ritu Sood and Onyuka Chinbat for consistently making me aware of such incredible opportunities. #EY

Fourth Graders from Covert Avenue School (Elmont Union Free School District) participate in ‘Bucks and Pucks’ 💸🏒📚 Students were visited by Junior Achievement of New York volunteers from Dime Community Bank and Flagstar Bank, learning financial skills through JA programming. But the excitement didn’t stop there! Thanks to our partnership with the New York Islanders, the students traded books for hockey sticks as the day wrapped up with a thrilling after-school street hockey clinic promoting teamwork and ending the day on a high note!
