A champion for the arts in the community, Clay Art Center (CAC) is a nationally recognized non-profit art center and the largest and most active ceramic arts facility in the tri-state area. Home to over 50 working artists, CAC is also a venue for adult and youth classes, a shop and exhibit space for emerging, midcareer and established artists and is actively engaged in the community. Renown artist Chris Staley said “grabbing a handful of moist formless clay…is like grabbing a handful of potential.” Everyday, we help people realize their potential through programs for youth and people with special needs. Guided by three core institutional values, community, diversity, and artistic excellence, we kindle a passion for the ceramic arts and provide a community for that passion to flourish.
