Rye YMCA
The Rye YMCA is a family-oriented community service organization which welcomes all people and promotes positive values through programs that build spirit, mind and body. We serve the communities of Rye, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Harrison, Port Chester and Rye Brook with members and program participants also coming from other parts of Westchester County.
In addition to providing opportunities for members to pursue their health and wellness goals, we offer safe, affordable and nurturing child care, including summer and vacation camps, full-day licensed child care (in Rye and Mamaroneck), a nursery school (Mamaroneck), after school programs at two sites (Rye Y and F.E. Bellows Elementary School), a pre-school enrichment program (Rye); and Child Watch babysitting for members (Rye). We also offer swim lessons, sports and enrichment for youth, family programs and events, and activities for active older adults. Our community health programs, offered in Rye and Mamaroneck, include a Diabetes Prevention Program; LIVESTRONG at the YMCA for cancer survivors; Enhance Fitness; Walk with Ease; and Moving for Better Balance. Our partnerships with community-based organizations and businesses help the Rye Y promote health and wellness outside our walls.
We do all this and more while keeping a powerful promise: no one will ever be turned away from a Y program or activity because they can’t pay. In 2024 alone, we awarded over $500,000 to 724 families and individuals for camp, program, membership and child care subsidies. By making the Y affordable, we keep it diverse and inclusive.
